It’s really up to you; it’s not a big deal to us. A few will be really dressed up, a few will be really dressed down, but most will be casual and comfortable, somewhere in between.

How should I dress?
Are your buildings and services handicap accessible?

Yes. We provide handicap parking in designated areas with wheel chair access. Feel free to call the church office if you need special assistance or have questions. We are happy to serve you! During rainy weather we have a spacious awning for your convenience. We do encourage you to arrive at least ten minutes early for worship services.

What happens when I get there?

You may park anywhere in our spacious parking lot and come in the front door. Our greeters will welcome you at the door and assist you in any way, particularly getting your children to the appropriate place and directing you to where the restrooms are located.

What childcare is offered?
What do I do before the service starts?

Childcare is available through our Sunday School and Children’s Church Worship Service for infants through 5th graders starting at 9:45 a.m. for Sunday School and 10:45 for Children's Church.

If you arrive before the service starts, you will notice that our Worship Center is an auditorium filled with pews. There are no reserved seats,so you may sit anywhere. Many people will be greeting each other during this time. As you enter the Worship Center, you will receive a copy of the Worship Folder (bulletin) which gives you information on the many happenings at First Baptist Church. Don’t worry if you arrive just a little after the service has started; just come on in and join in the worship service.

What is the worship like?

Services generally last about one hour to one hour and fifteen minutes. Our worship services are a time of exciting praise and meaningful worship. Our services include various types of music. We have a large video screen which will have the words to all songs the congregation sings. (We encourage a “joyful noise”.) There may be special announcements or features. Occasionally videos are presented.

How are guests greeted?

Before the service, our greeters and many of our other members will extend a friendly greeting to you. Please let us know you are a guest. You do not have to register or sign your name to anything if you do not wish to; however, we would like to know you were our guest and ask you to fill out the “Connect Card” provided by one of the greeters and/or a pocket on the back of the pews. We ask that you drop the form in the offering plate during the service as your offering for the day or give your form to a greeter as you leave the service or leave it on the Welcome Center table. If you are visiting from out of town and plan on moving to the McNeil area, we would love to know that. A number of folks are joining us after discovering us on the Web. If you found us this way, please let us know on the guest registration form.

Do you have crying room available?

Currently, we do not have a crying room but welcome children in our service. However, if desired, we do have a nursery. Any greeter or usher can help you to the nursery area.

Do you have invitations at the end of the service? What are they like?

At the end of his message, Pastor Ken will offer an invitation to anyone who does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to place their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Pastor Ken will also ask those who would like to become part of our church family or to be baptized to make that known by filling out a connect card located in the worship folder you received upon your arrival or in the seat pocket of the pew in front of you. After the service, anyone wishing to speak with someone regarding their decision or who may be in need of prayer can come forward and speak to Pastor Ken about any decision they are facing. You will not be embarrassed or asked to speak publicly to the congregation.

Do I need to donate money when I visit?

First McNeil does encourage biblical giving of its members; however, our guests are not expected to give anything. During this time, if you have filled out the “Connect Card”, we ask you to place it in the offering plate.
